Christmas themed Winter Break Beginner Level 5-Day Drawing Seminar

Team members Elissa Song and Emily Qi designed and led this online seminar. They met and worked together at Emily’s home during each session, preparing, leading and instructing. This program was designed for students to learn the basics of drawing, where a different skill or media was covered each day.

On day 1, instructors guided students through the basics of shapes and sketching;

On day 2, instructors guided students through adding details;

On day 3, instructors guided students through outlining;

On day 4, instructors guided students through coloring；

On day 5, instructors guided students through shading and a course wrap-up.

In the end, students gained both valuable art-based skills and a completed Christmas themed drawing. Elissa and Emily also enjoyed the teaching and have developed a well idea how to lead young students using their experiences. This seminar was a great accomplishment for the team and the whole branch.

Our branch members Elissa and Emily volunteered from 10:00am-12:00pm for curriculum design, and 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm for teaching session each day from December 30th, 2024 to January 3rd, 2025. Contributing 17.5 volunteer hours each.
