On 4th of July, 2026, Elissa Song and Kevin Chen volunteered at the Big Rock Park Central Heritage Garden with the Sammamish Botanical Garden Society. To help maintain the garden, they watered plants, removed invasive plants, deadheaded wilted leaves and flowers, and also watered areas of the garden. They learned important environmental skills and various ways to effectively identify weeds. Our members agree that this was an amazing opportunity to help out in the community and contribute positively to the environment. They each volunteered for two hours, starting at 9:00 AM and ending at 11:00 AM.
