Annual Sammamish Kids Mud Run event

On Friday, August 1st and Saturday, August 2nd, 2025, AYLUS’s Lake Washington Branch members volunteered at the annual Sammamish Kids Mud Run event located at the East Sammamish Park.

On day 1, members Elissa Song, Jade Ye, Constantine Ermolenko, Kevin Chen, and Simon Song volunteered from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, for a total of 6 hours per volunteer. The members took on many tasks such as transporting water, organizing wood planks, setting up for the overall event, disposing of PVC pipes, etc. They collectively agree that day 1 of Mud Run volunteering was an amazing social and team building event that not only contributed to the greater Sammamish community, but also taught us many valuable life skills.
